The group painting exhibition titled "Brushstrokes of Friendship" started on Monday afternoon, July 1.
A total of 51 artworks by 25 artists from session 47 of the Faculty of Fine Art are displayed in this week-long exhibition at the Art Bangla Gallery in Lalmatia, Dhaka.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Shanto-Mariam University, eminent artist Professor Mostafizul Haque, Professor Sheikh Afzal Hossain from the Faculty of Fine Art, Dhaka University, and Professor Shishir Kumar Bhattacharya inaugurated the exhibition as special guests.
The opening ceremony was presided over by the chairman of the Art Bangla Foundation, Professor Mohammad Eunus. Many visitors, including art connoisseurs, art critics, and other artists, attended the event. Following the official opening, there was an extended discussion with the participating artists. Curated by artist Niloy IH, the exhibition will remain open to visitors from July 1 to July 7, 2024, from 3 pm to 8 pm.
