Students of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) took out a torch procession demanding of quota reform.
The torch procession started from Shaheed Minar on Monday (July 7) at 7:30 pm. After that it ends at the main gate of the university roundabout.
After the procession, the students took position in front of the main gate. At that time, they raised many anti-quota slogans.
At the time, the students said, 'The quota system should be amended by passing a law in the parliament by canceling unreasonable and discriminatory quotas in all grades of government jobs and bringing the quotas to the minimum level for the backward groups mentioned in the constitution.'
They also said, 'This movement of ours is to claim our rights. We will not back down from the movement until we get our rights.'
Then at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow, they left the campus at 8:00 p.m. announcing a march and protest march.
