University of scholars awards full scholarships to disabled students

On Saturday (13 July), at Banani Club, a significant event was held by Nohor Initiatives, with support from the University of Scholars. During this event, the University of Scholars proudly awarded full scholarships to two deserving disabled individuals. These scholarships will allow the recipients to complete their undergraduate degrees in BBA and CSE at the University of Scholars.

Abdul Hasib Siddique, the CCO and Member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Scholars, represented the university at the event. He emphasized the university's strong belief that everyone has the right to a proper education and highlighted their commitment to helping those in need.

The event also saw the presence of several notable figures, including ,Habibul Bashar Sumon, former captain of the Bangladesh cricket team, Mohammad Solaiman Sukhan, Director of Innovation and Insights at Nagd, Shahriar Nafees Ahmed, former cricketer of the Bangladesh team, Sajid Mahbub, CEO of Bangladesh Brand Forum, Md. Tajdeen Hasan, CBO of Daily Star, etc. The program was fully supported by Veritas Academy.

Through its Digital Fellowship Program-2024, aims to equip disabled individuals with skills in various aspects of digital technology. This one-year fellowship program includes six months of training and a four-month internship. Over 200 disabled students from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Palestine, Nigeria, Ghana, and KZN participated in this session. The event celebrated the successful completion of the first six months and planned for the future.
