DU administration instructs to report harassment to Proctor’s Office

Dhaka University (DU) administration has instructed to inform the university’s Proctor’s Office if law enforcement agencies or others harass innocent students regarding the quota reform movement. The university also stated that all possible cooperation will be provided in this regard.

This information was conveyed in a notice sent from the Public Relations Office on Monday (29 July) afternoon.

It stated that various news reports in the media indicate actions being taken against individuals accused of involvement in violence and law-breaking activities centered around the quota reform movement. The university authorities are urging law enforcement agencies and all concerned to ensure that no innocent student of Dhaka University falls victim to harassment in this process.

The notice further stated that any student of Dhaka University who faces harassment is instructed to inform the Proctor’s Office. All possible cooperation will be provided by the university in this matter. The Dhaka University administration wishes for the overall well-being of the students.”
