JnU student wounded, VC paid visit at hospital

Jagannath University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sadeka Halim visited the hospital to see Al Amin, a student of the Law Department of the 2022-23 academic year at Jagannath University, who was injured in the quota reform movement.

On Thursday (August 1), at 11 am, the Vice-Chancellor went to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital to inquire about the physical condition of the student under treatment.

Along with her, University Proctor Professor Dr. Jahangir Hossain, Director of Public Relations Tanvir Ahsan, and Director of Extracurricular Activities Dr. Md. Abdul Malak also present there.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sadeka Halim stated that she has instructed the doctors to take necessary measures for the advanced treatment of the injured student, Al Amin. The university will cover all expenses related to his treatment.

“So far, 16 students, including 5 who were shot, had been admitted to the hospital due to injuries. The university has been continuously monitoring their condition and covering the costs of their treatment. Arrangements have been made to ensure their safe return home after their treatment”- she added.
