Solidarity of PUST 13 teachers in students’ movement

13 teachers of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) expressed solidarity with the movement by tying red cloths on heads in the students' movement going on across the country.

Ignoring the rain on Saturday (August 3), they held the program at the foot of the central Shaheed Minar of the university at 11.00 in the morning.

These 13 teachers are professors of mathematics Dr. Kamruzzaman Khan, Professor of Business Administration (BBA) Department Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman, Bangla Department Associate Professor Dr. Arif Obaidullah, Statistics Department Associate Professor Dr. Sabba Ruhi, Bangla Department Associate Professor Dr. Md. Tanvir Haider, Mathematics Department Associate Professor Dr, Uday Sankar Basak,  Architecture Department Assistant Professor Aditi Biswas, Electrical Electronic and Communication Engineering (EECE) Department Assistant Professor of Fatin Ishrak, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department (EEE) Assistant Professor Ariful Islam, Lecturer of Electrical Electronic and Communication Engineering (EECE) Department Imran Hossain, Mathematics Department Lecturer Aslam Hossain, Urban and Development Planning (URP) Department Lecturer Simon Nahar Ritu and Public Administration Department Lecturer Tasnim Tabasum.

At the position Program Professor Dr. Kamruzzaman Khan said, ‘we have come here as a university teacher in pursuit of conscience in the country's prevailing situation. We want justice for all the killings of students, general public and police. No killing is desirable.

We don't want any more lives to be lost. We want every murder to be investigated. At the same time, we want the release of all the ordinary students who have been arrested.’

Aditi Biswas, Assistant Professor of Architecture said, ‘Why will so many students die? Why didn't the state stop after one died? Although I am currently a teacher, I was once a student. That's why I couldn't come to the students' trouble anymore.’

Professor Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman, Dr. Arif Obaidullah and Simon Nahar Ritu aslo delivered their speech in the program.
