Student politics prohibited in Nazrul University, a policy decision has been taken

Student Politics of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University are got closed.  A policy decision has been taken.

The information was informed based on an office order published at midnight on Wednesday (07 August) by the administration of Nazrul University.

According to the office order, in view of the demands of the anti-discrimination student movement, a policy decision to stop student politics on the campus has been taken based on the recommendation of an emergency meeting with the policy makers of the university on Wednesday.

But why this decision was not passed through the urgent meeting called by the syndicate. It has been limited to only policy decisions, and there is a lot of anger in the public mind and questions are raised on the acceptability and sustainability of this order.

On Wednesday (August 7), the anti-discrimination students presented two demands to the university administration. It is said in one of the two clauses 1. All kinds of politics i.e. student politics, teacher politics and staff politics should be stopped in the university.

Although the student politics has stopped, the politics of the teachers and the politics of the officials have not stopped. Janas Bhowmik, a student agitating in this matter, said that we have presented two demands to the university administration.

But, the administration has accepted some of our first phase issues. Our activities will continue until the implementation of the two phases. We will be forced to give a strict program from Sunday.

Along with the closure of student politics, various administrative positions of the university were also changed on this day.

Earlier, the students of various departments of the university gave statements to stop department-wise student politics, but this is the first time that such a decision has been taken at the collective and administrative level.
