Postponed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams will resume on September 11. The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has released the revised exam schedule.
The new schedule was published on Thursday afternoon (August 15) on the website of the Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
According to the schedule, the HSC theoretical exams will conclude on October 8, followed by the practical exams, which will be held from October 15 to 23.
Previously, on August 12, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee issued a notification stating that the postponed HSC and equivalent exams would be conducted with full marks. The committee also mentioned that the revised schedule would be published soon.
The ongoing HSC and equivalent exams were postponed multiple times due to concerns over student safety amidst violence related to the quota reform movement. The boards postponed eight days of exams in three phases. Initially, the exams were scheduled to resume on August 11, but they were postponed again due to the burning of question papers. The postponed exams will now be held with new question papers starting from September 11.
This year, the HSC and equivalent exams started on June 30, with a total of 1,450,790 candidates under nine general education boards, technical board, and madrasa board.
