Moreover, retired Vice-Chancellors Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology and Professor Dr. Md. Forhad Hossain of Maulana Bhashani Science and Technology University have also had their resignation letters accepted.
The resignations come in response to student protests during the quota reform movement, where students accused the VCs and university authorities of not supporting them and harassing them in various ways. This has led to a wave of resignations among university officials. Many university VCs, treasurers, proctorial body members, and hall provosts have resigned, and protests continue against those who have not yet resigned. This situation has caused administrative paralysis in many universities.
