General students marched in Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) to protest the killings at the border. On today, (10 September) at 1 pm, this procession started from Independence Square of the University.

Recently, a 13-year-old Bangladeshi girl, Swarna Das, was killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on the Bangladesh-India border.

Within a few days of the said incident, another teenager Sri Jayant became a victim of Indian brutality on September 9. The whole country is angry with these two incidents. People are protesting in different parts of the country against the brutality of BSF one after another. In continuation of this, this procession was held in CUET.

During the march, the university students chanted more anti-India slogans like "Rokto Nibi Rokto Chas, amra shobai Swarna Das", "Amar Desh amar mati, hobe na Delhir ghati".

When asked about this, Mohammad Belay Hossain Rifat, a fourth-year student of the city and regional planning department of the university, who participated in the march, said that almost every year, the common people of Bangladesh are brutally killed by the Indian Border Guard Force (BSF) in the border areas.

According to human rights organization Law and Arbitration Center, 31 Bangladeshis were killed by BSF forces in 2023 alone. Recently, BSF forces killed Swarnadas and a teenager named Jayant Kumar Singh in close proximity.

He further said that day after day, for years, the Indian BSF forces have been carrying out massacres on the border of Bangladesh in cold blood. So we organized this march as a protest against this cold genocide of hegemonic India and against India's naked interference in the sovereignty of Bangladesh.
