Club Fair, Spring ’24, held at UAP

The UAP Club Fair for Spring 2024 was organized by the Directorate of Students' Welfare (DSW) at the Plaza of University of Asia Pacific on September 30, 2024, showcasing UAP’s clubs to encourage new students to join ones reflecting their interests.

Architect Mahbuba Haque, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, UAP, and Prof. Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, Vice Chancellor, UAP, jointly inaugurated the fair.

Fifteen central clubs along with the Center for Mental Health of UAP exhibited their accomplishments and activities before the newly admitted students and guests arrived.

In her speech, Architect Mahbuba Haque hoped that students would not only perform club activities but also promote Bangladesh’s culture and language with spirit and enthusiasm.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the clubs and DSW for the expansion of the co-curricular activity. The VC urged the students to get involved in co-curricular activities.

Among others, Prof. Dr. Md. Sultan Mahmud, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. Sheikh Anwar Hossain, Treasurer, UAP; Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Dean, School of Medicine; Dr. ASM Mohsin, Director, Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW); advisers of different clubs along with other officials were present at the event.

At the fair, certificates were awarded to the committed and enthusiastic volunteers and outgoing advisers for their voluntary services in organizing various co-curricular activities of the university. The Chairman, BOT, UAP, Vice-Chancellor, UAP, and Pro-Vice-Chancellor distributed the certificates.
The fair was concluded by the Vice Chancellor through the announcement of the best-performing stalls based on their overall performance throughout the day, including thematic decoration of the stalls and services to the visitors.

Social Awareness Club, Drama Club, and Football Club were awarded as the best stall (academic), best stall (cultural), and best stall (sports), respectively.
