Because of the students' uprising, Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled on August 5. However, she left Awami supporters in a predicament. Similarly, students have boycotted Awami-aligned and Awami-supported teachers at University of Dhaka. As a result, these teachers cannot participate in class activities. In a Messenger inquiry, at least fifty teachers' names have emerged who cannot participate in class activities due to the students' movement.

According to students, a teacher's responsibility is to provide proper guidance to students and lead by example. Yet, these teachers have acted like blind devotees and supporters of the party for their own interests. They seem more like nominal political workers than teachers!

It is known that two professors from the law department of Dhaka University, Rahmatullah and Jamila Ahmed Chowdhury, have been boycotted due to their questionable roles. During the movement, two lecturers, Md. Azhar Uddin Bhuiyan and lecturer Shaherima Tanzin Arni, were also announced to be boycotted by the students.

At least 13 teachers from the Faculty of Business Education have been boycotted by students from affiliated departments regarding classes and exams. Among them are Professor Md. Mizanur Rahman and Md. Abul Kalam Azad from the Marketing Department. The boycott list includes Management Department professors Suman Das, Shabnam Jahan, and Md. Mosharraf Hossain; Associate Professor Md. Khaled Bin Amir from Banking and Insurance; Professors Md. Afzal Hossain and Shamshad Nawrin from Tourism and Hospitality Management; Professor Sheikh Tanzila Dipti from Finance; Professor Mahmud Akhtar from Accounting and Information Systems; Professor Md. Mushfiqur Rahman; Associate Professor Mohammad Moniruzzaman; and Md. Jamil Sharif.

Students remain adamant about not allowing these teachers to participate in ongoing batches' classes or any academic activities. Regarding this, Dean of the Faculty of Business Education Mahmud Osman Imam stated that they have accepted the students' demands to maintain peace and order. The students are now satisfied and are participating in regular classes.

Associate Professors Mamun Al Mostafa and Md. Monirul Islam from the Political Science Department of the Social Sciences Faculty; Professor Md. Mashiur Rahman and Jinath Huda from the Sociology Department; Professor Saber Ahmed Chowdhury from Peace and Conflict Studies; Professors Md. Rofiqul Islam alias Rofik Shahria and Maria Hossain; Muhammad Billal Hossain from Population Sciences; Lecturer Miz Sumaiya Iqbal and ABM Nazmus Sakib from Criminology; Sadik Hasan from Public Administration; and Professor Muhammad Shahadat Hossain Siddiqui from Economics have also had their classes boycotted by students.

Professor Baytullah Kaderi from the Bengali Department of the Arts Faculty is still facing ongoing protests against him, as well as Professor Saiful Islam from Theater and Performance Studies; Assistant Professor Kazi Farzana Afrin from Islamic Studies; Professors Muhammad Zahidul Islam, Assistant Professor Zahidul Islam Sana, and Mohammad Imaul Haque Sarkar; one professor from Urdu Department Md. Mahmudul Islam; Lecturer Md. Rakibul Hasan from Pali and Buddhist Studies; Professors Abdul Bashir and Md. Abdur Rahim from Islamic History and Culture have also had their classes boycotted by students.

Additionally, in response to student protests and demands, Professor Musa Rebekah Sultana and Associate Professor Mandira Chowdhury from the Philosophy Department have decided to voluntarily refrain from all educational activities for five ongoing batches. The decision for these two teachers to refrain was approved by the academic committee of the Philosophy Department on September 24. Before the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, Rebekah Sultana had already been boycotted by departmental students. After the government's fall, students protested against Rebekah and Mandira, submitting a memorandum to Chairman Shah Kawser Mustafa Abululai.

Students have boycotted classes of teacher Md. Harunur Rashid Khan from the Soil, Water, and Environment Department of the Biological Sciences Faculty. The boycott movement against Chairman Md. Kamal Uddin's classes and exams in the Psychology Department is ongoing. Professors Mohammad Azmal Hossain Bhuiyan from Plant Science Department, Mohammad Shamsur Rahman from Fisheries Science Department,

Students have also boycotted classes of Chandranath Poddar from Mathematics Department of Science Faculty; Chairman Professor Afroza Shelly and Professor Md. Shafiqul Islam from Nuclear Engineering Department of Engineering and Technology Faculty.

Students have boycotted classes of Professor M Ahiduzzaman and Professor Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman alias Litu from Education and Research Institute as well as Lecturer Fariha Kadir and Lecturer Muhammad Ihsan-ul-Kabir from Health Economics Institute.

Students have also boycotted classes of Associate Professor Md. Rabiul Islam along with two other teachers from Fine Arts Department as well as one teacher from History of Arts Department.

In this matter DU proctor Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed stated, "Complaints have been filed by students against several teachers at the proctor's office. In response, fact-finding committees have been formed to investigate these complaints. During the investigation, these teachers will refrain from all academic activities. In some cases, with the Dean's assistance, faculty and students have boycotted certain teachers through academic committee meetings. The committee's decision will be considered final."
