Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Founder & Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University (DIU) and President of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), delivered a compelling keynote address at the 4th Central China Higher Education (International) Forum, organized by Sias University in collaboration with China Higher Education Association & Henan Education Association for International Exchange (HNEAIE) in Zhengzhou,China. His keynote, titled "Governance in Higher Education with AI," focused on the transformative role artificial intelligence is playing in reshaping governance structures in the education sector.
The forum, held on 16 October 2024, was inaugurated by several distinguished leaders, including Ms. Su Xiaohong, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Henan Province; Mr. Jiang Enlai, Vice President and Researcher of the China Higher Education Association; Mr. Shawn Chen, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sias University; Mr. Jiang Yonghui, Director of the Education, Health & Sports Bureau of the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone Comprehensive Experimental Area; and Ms. Su Bingqing, Deputy Director of the Education Bureau of Zhongyuan District, Zhengzhou City.
In his speech, Dr. Khan highlighted how AI can revolutionize the governance of higher education institutions by promoting transparency, efficiency, and better decision-making processes. He emphasized the need for educational leaders to adopt AI-driven solutions to navigate the challenges posed by the rapidly evolving global education landscape, ensuring that universities remain competitive while fostering innovation and growth.
The forum brought together over 500 policymakers, education leaders, and experts from across the globe to discuss key trends in higher education and explore new ways to improve governance and institutional management in the era of digital transformation. As a leading advocate for innovation in higher education, Dr. Md.
