The closing ceremony of a three-day long workshop was held on 19 November 2024. The workshop titled ‘Business Hackathon: Social Business Innovation and Knowledge Exchange’ was jointly organized by the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands.
The programme was arranged with a view to applying the students’ skills and creativity to solve real-world social business problems. The workshop also featured a dynamic social business case competition titled ‘Business Hackathon’ and four expert-led plenary sessions. Throughout the Business Hackathon five teams, each comprising of students from both Fontys and BUP, participated in a business case competition.
In the closing ceremony, the respected Vice Chancellor of BUP Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc, MPhil, PhD was present as the Chief Guest and distributed certificates amongst participants. Among others, delegates of Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, BUP high officials, faculty members and students of FBS were present in the programme.
