The SUB Public Speaking Club organized an engaging workshop titled "The Art of Public Speaking" in the university's conference room today. The workshop aimed to equip students with essential public speaking skills and enhance their confidence in effective communication.
The program was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Nawzia Yasmin, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In her inspiring welcome speech, she emphasized the importance of public speaking as a tool for personal and professional growth.
The workshop featured two highly interactive sessions conducted by Mr. Sadman Sadik, Author & Educator, and Md. Abdul Quayyum, Head of Communications, UNDP Bangladesh. Both speakers captivated the audience with their insightful presentations, practical techniques, and engaging Q&A session, leaving participants motivated and eager to apply their learnings.
The program was attended by Md. Shamsul Islam, Dean of the School of Business & Social Sciences, alongside faculty members from various departments, who offered their valuable support and encouragement. Mr. Bayezid Khan, Lecturer in the Department of Journalism, Communication & Media Studies and Convener of the SUB Public Speaking Club, skillfully anchored the program.
Over 150 students participated in the workshop, maintaining a lively yet disciplined atmosphere of learning. At the conclusion, certificates were awarded to all participants, marking their dedication to self-improvement and public speaking excellence.
The workshop stands as a testament to the university’s commitment to fostering the holistic development of its students and empowering them with skills essential for the future.
