A colourful freshers’ reception, prize giving ceremony and cultural programme was held at Milestone College. Thursday, 26 December 2024; This pleasant event was organized at the permanent campus grounds of Milestone College located in Diabari, Uttara.
On this day, the new students of class XI in the 2024-25 academic year were ceremonially welcomed with floral greetings.
Principal of the Milestone college Mohammad Ziaul Alam presided over the Captivating ceremony while former Divisional Commissioner of Dhaka Md. Abdul Bari was present as the chief guest. Founder and advisor of Milestone College Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.), Executive Principal of Milestone Preparatory KG School Mrs. Rifat Nabi Alam, Vice Principal (Administration) of the college Md. Masud Alam were present as the special guest. The college's vice-principals, directors, respected teachers, and guardians were present at the charming fresher's reception ceremony.
The event observed a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the student–people's uprising in July-August 2024.
In the Prize distribution phase, the chief guest Md. Abdul Bari and the special guest Colonel Nuran Nabi (Retd.) handed over the prize the students who demonstrated their talent in curricular and co-curricular activities. In the cultural program phase, the eye-catching performances of the students, like solo and group songs, dances, drama and fashion shows impressed everyone. One of the highlights of the cultural program was the popular singer Zakia Sultana Kornia's song, which captivated everyone.
