As climate change continues to loom as one of the greatest challenges of our time, the Hopes of Humanity Centre is lighting a beacon of hope in Bangladesh. Hopes of Humanity Centre is a non-profit organization which aims to collective action, overcoming challenges through youth empowerment, solution-driven focus, collaboration, and unwavering perseverance, to create a lasting positive impact on the world.

Recently, the Centre hosted its much-anticipated Capacity Building Workshop on Climate Action in Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) campus, drawing young changemakers, community leaders, and environmental advocates from across the nation. The workshop, a cornerstone of the Centre’s mission, offered participants a unique opportunity to not only learn but also lead.

The workshop emphasized a holistic approach to combating climate change, aligning with the Centre’s key focus areas Climate Action and Youth-Driven Innovation. Attendees delved into sessions on climate science, disaster mitigation, and sustainable solutions tailored to Bangladesh’s unique challenges, such as rising sea levels and frequent cyclones.

Beyond technical knowledge, the workshop fostered collaboration among a diverse group of participants. Interactive discussions, brainstorming sessions, and networking opportunities created a fertile ground for developing cross-sectoral solutions.

Founding Director, SM Sazzad Ul Islam expressed, “The workshop is part of the Centre’s broader efforts to address pressing social issues. Its flagship venture, Seeds of Change, is already making significant strides in empowering farmers, reducing food waste, and improving food security. Similarly, Our other initiatives like Waste2Hope and the Ksf AGRO FARM Network are reshaping waste management and promoting sustainable agriculture.”

“The journey of Hopes of Humanity Centre began with a belief in collective action to address poverty, inequality, and environmental challenges. Starting with a small group of passionate youth, we embraced the power of collaboration and a shared vision for a better future”, He added.
