Sonalika welcomed and honored the newly admitted students for the academic year 2023-24 in a grand ceremony at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). "Sonalika," a coaching and guide platform for university admission, the event saw the participation of over 800 newly enrolled students from various faculties of BAU.
The ceremony took place on Tuesday (January 7) at 7 PM at the Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Auditorium of the university.
During the event, the students were presented with commemorative gifts, including crests, books, keychains, and wall mats. A cultural program featuring performances by the students added vibrancy to the occasion.
Distinguished guests at the event included Professor Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin, convener of the BAU Provost Council; Professor Dr. Muha. Iliasur Rahman Bhuiyan, Head of the Department of Physiology; Professor Dr. Abu Zofar Mohammad Mosleh Uddin from the Department of Soil Science; and Mr. Fakhrul Islam, Director General of Sonalika.
The invited guests delivered motivational speeches and career guidance to the new students.
Speaking at the event, Professor Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin said, ‘Bangladesh does not lack educated individuals, but it does lack honest and ethical people. This is the root cause of the country’s current challenges. We must have faith in the Creator in all our endeavors. One must not break under the weight of failure. To move forward in life, respect for elders and adherence to sound advice are essential.’
The ceremony served as an inspiring start for the students as they embark on their academic journey at BAU.
