The Department of English of Premier University organized a 'Presentation and Performance Day' on Tuesday.
One of the main attractions of the lively presentation of literature was the staging of the drama performed by the students of the 40th batch (6th semester) of the Department of English. Notable scenes from Alexander Pope's poem 'The Rape of the Lock' were depicted there. The students then presented their research and creative ideas through 'Wall Presentations'.
Associate Professor Rafiqul Islam, one of the organisers of the event and course instructor, said such activities help students to feel literature beyond textbooks. 'Literary Performance Day' has become a great example of academic education as well as creativity and cultural development.
He thanked all the participants for conducting the program very successfully and urged the students to keep up their interest and dedication towards literary pursuits.
