Abu Hasan, the Deputy Registrar of the Education branch at Jahangirnagar University (JU), has been assigned the additional responsibility of Registrar for a period of six months. This decision was communicated through an official order signed by Rahima Kaniz, the current contractual registrar of the university, on Sunday (June 25).
The office order states that the contract with the present contractual registrar, Rahima Kaniz, will expire on July 5. As per Section 12(6) of the University Act, Abu Hasan, the Deputy Registrar (Education) of the Registrar's Office, has been given the additional charge of the registrar for a six-month term, commencing from July 6.
It should be noted that Abu Hasan was born on June 1, 1962, in Faridpur Upazila of Pabna. After completing his graduation and post-graduation in the Physics department at Jahangirnagar University, he taught at a college in Tangail before joining the university administration. On December 20, 2000, he commenced his tenure in the university administration as an Assistant Registrar. Subsequently, in January 2009, he was promoted to the position of Sub-Registrar. Throughout his career, Abu Hasan has served in various branches, including the estate branch, teaching branch, and council branch.
