The M.A. Latif Memorial Mini-Bar Football Tournament was held at the Islamic University in Kushtia on Sunday (3 September).
IU Public Administration department organized the tournament at the central Playground of the University in the afternoon, to commemorate the department’s late professor M A Latif. The Fred W Riggs (FC) team became champions defeating the Warriors of Woodrow Wilson team.
Later, a prize-giving ceremony was held there. Professor Fakrul Islam, department chairman, presided over the prize-giving ceremony while Professor Mohammad Selim and Professor M Asaduzzaman were present.
Earlier, the tournament was formally inaugurated on 28th August at the same playground. A total of six teams, selected from different sessions of the department, participated in the game.
