The 22nd edition of the Dhaka International Film Festival, scheduled to commence on January 20, 2024, is already creating a buzz with exciting announcements. In addition to renowned Iranian director Majid Majidi and Chinese film Professor Dr Shi Chuan, the festival will feature a masterclass by the acclaimed West Bengal musician, filmmaker, and actor Anjan Dutt on January 27.
The news was revealed by the festival authorities on the official Facebook of Dhaka International Film Festival on Monday. The masterclass by Anjan Dutt will be hosted by Bangladeshi film critic Bidhan Rebeiro at the Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Auditorium, the main auditorium of the Bangladesh National Museum.
Organised by Rainbow Film Society since 1992, the festival has been dedicated to the motto of 'Aesthetic Films, Mindful Audience, Enlightened Society.' With around 250 films representing 75 countries across 10 categories, the 2024 festival promises a rich cinematic experience for attendees.
