The Awami League has nominated actor Ferdous Ahmed for the Dhaka-10 constituency in the upcoming 12th parliamentary election.
The announcement was made by the party's General Secretary, Obaidul Quader, at a press conference held at the party's central office on Bangabandhu Avenue on Sunday.
Earlier, the actor had submitted AL nomination forms for the Dhaka-10 and Dhaka-18 constituencies.
Ferdous mentioned that he collected the nomination forms for both constituencies of Dhaka online on the second day of the nomination process. The following day, he submitted the nomination forms for both seats. Ferdous has collected nomination forms from Dhaka-10 and Dhaka-18 constituencies.
The popular hero, Ferdous, never intended to act in films. Even his parents did not want their son to work in movies. Ferdous' dream was to become a pilot and fly in the sky. He began making necessary preparations to fulfill his dream while studying journalism at Dhaka University, joining the flying club. However, after completing his studies, he enrolled in film in Dhaka. Ferdous gained great popularity with the release of his first film, ‘Hothat Brishti’ Following that, he acted in many popular films in Bangladesh and India.
