Popular singers Imran Mahmudul and Jhilik have teamed up for a new original song titled ‘Jene Jao Tumi,’ set to be released on December 5. The song, written by lyricist Jamal Hossain, owner of Rangon Music, features music composed by Imran Mahmudul himself.
Speaking about the collaboration, Imran said, “Jhilik and I started our journey professionally in the music industry through the ‘Channel i Shera Kontho’ competition in the same year. Jhilik became the champion, and I was the first runner-up. Since then, we have had a wonderful friendly relationship. It’s surprising to think that eight years have passed without a collaboration on a song. Jhilik sings well, and I am delighted to sing along with her.”
“The song is a beautiful romantic piece, and Jamal Hossain wrote the lyrics really well. I have tried my level best to infuse the melody with my emotions. Both of us will be seen in the video, and I hope the audience will like the song,” Imran added.
Jhilik said, “Imran Mahmudul and I last sang a song titled ‘Besamal’ in my third album titled ‘Prothom Prem.’ After that, we haven’t collaborated on any new songs. We have performed in many stage shows together, but new original songs were not sung for a long time. The lyrics of this song are wonderful, and I am thankful to Jamal Bhai (Jamal Hossain). The tune is also phenomenal. Sincere thanks to Imran Mahmudul. Overall, I am very hopeful that the song will impress the audience, Inshallah.”
The music video for the song was directed by Saikat Reza.
