At the time when Selim began working on 'Kajol Rekha,' Sadia, one of the most promising actresses of the current generation, was working as a model in advertisements. Despite having only one drama to her credit, she seized the unique opportunity to play the titular role in the film.
Before the release of 'Kajol Rekha,' Sadia gained recognition through Shihab Shaheen's web film 'Maya Shalik' at the end of 2022. In 2023, she performed in several dramas that brought her into the spotlight. However, Sadia eagerly awaits the release of her debut movie 'Kajol Rekha.'
Having revealed that both Mandira Chakraborty and she acted in the titular role in 'Kajol Rekha,' Sadia mentioned that to understand the details of two artistes portraying the same role, one must go to the theatre and watch the movie.
Expressing high hopes for 'Kajol Rekha,' Sadia said, “I believe the songs of this movie will be a hit, just like the recent success of the song ‘Sada Sada Kala Kala.’ At that time, I didn't fully understand acting, so I used to seek guidance from Salim Bhai or Khosru Bhai on portraying the character of Kajol Rekha. I think my innocence will resonate with the audience, and they will love it.”
Sadia expressed her high hopes for the movie by saying, “I have great expectations for ‘Kajol Rekha’. The film features many songs, providing the audience with another taste of the beautiful folk music that Bangladesh has to offer. I believe the audience will appreciate my songs, much like the recent success of the song ‘Sada Sada Kala Kala.’”
The actress also added, “However, during that time, I didn't have a thorough understanding of acting. Consequently, I used to seek guidance from Salim Bhai or Khosru Bhai on how to portray the character of Kajol Rekha. This is how I approached the role, relying on their advice. Due to my limited understanding at the time, I consider it my innocence, and I believe the audience will appreciate it.”
The release date for 'Kajol Rekha' is yet to be finalised. Considering the recent election, it is expected to be released on Valentine's Day or another date following the election.
Meanwhile, Sadia Ayman has completed work on the drama 'Keu Keu Theke Jai,' directed by Shishir Ahmed. Additionally, starting from January 10, she will be working on a web film directed by Tito Rahman for Deepto Play.
