Popular small-screen actress Tanjin Tisha is making her foray into the world of cinema, marking a significant milestone in her career. Speculations about the actress venturing into both Bangladeshi and Kolkata film industries have been rife lately.
Tisha's upcoming film, titled 'Poison', helmed by director Sanjay Samaddar, boasts a talented ensemble cast including Abu Huraira Tanveer, Tiger Robi, Rawnak Ripon, Abdullah Al Sentu, AK Azad Setu, SM Sohag, and others.
Director Sanjay revealed that 'Poison' is set to premiere on the OTT platform DeeptoPlay, slated for a special Eid release, as confirmed by Deepto authorities.
Meanwhile, Indian media outlet Anandabazar has confirmed Tisha's impending debut in Tollywood. However, the actress remained tight-lipped about the specific project she's involved in within the Tollywood circuit.
If Tisha does make her mark in Tollywood, she would join the ranks of other Bangladeshi actresses who have made successful transitions into the Kolkata film industry, including Jaya Ahsan, Nusraat Faria, Mahiya Mahi, Bidya Sinha Mim, Shobnom Bubly, Tasnia Farin, and many others.
Tisha-starrer 'Poison' is written by Mamunur Rashid Tanim. Besides Tisha, the cast includes Abu Huraira Tanvir, Tiger Robi, Rawnak Ripon, Abdullah Al Sentu, AK Azad Setu, SM Sohag, and others.
Sanjay exudes confidence in this movie and expresses great satisfaction with Tisha's performance. He said, “As a director, I am someone who progresses slowly. Every project is like a test for me to outdo my last work. This film is no exception.
It's a suspense thriller filled with brutality, and the tagline is ‘A story of survival.’ I've attempted to portray the various battles a person fights for survival. The audience and critics will be the ultimate judges.”
