Deblina Sur, a musician raised in a culturally nurturing environment, holds a profound love for music ingrained since her childhood. Surrounded by melodies throughout her life, she has risen to prominence as a renowned artiste in the country, embodying humility inherited from her culture-oriented family.
In the forthcoming children's film 'Nuliachhorir Sonar Pahar' directed by Lubna Sharmin, Deblina lends her voice to a Rabindra song, 'Mor Bhabnare Ki Hawaay Matalo,' composed by Bappa Mazumder. Despite the film's pending release, her contribution is eagerly anticipated.
Her musical journey traces back to her days at Jashore Cantonment College, where the principal, Kamruzzaman, served as a constant source of encouragement. The invaluable support of her audience and her father's unwavering belief have been pivotal in her artistic evolution.
Acknowledging her mother, Shrabani Sur's, significant influence, Deblina's accomplishments stand as testament to her dedication. Graduating with Honours in Rabindra Sangeet from Shantiniketan, followed by a Master's degree from Rabindra Bharati University on an ICCR scholarship, she has consistently excelled.
Today marks Deblina's birthday. Seeking prayers and blessings from everyone, she said, “I seek prayers and blessings from everyone, that God keeps me healthy and well, and for my family to get along well with everyone. May I raise my only child, Dwijita Debashree, to be a good human being and to sing well. Wherever you are, stay well and stay healthy.”
In a poignant tribute to the martyred intellectuals, Deblina previously lent her voice to 'Sharanara Ratri,' a song composed by Suman Kalyan with lyrics by Anup Barua Pinku, reflecting her commitment to meaningful expression through music.
