Actress Orchita Sporshia chose Valentine's Day to embark on a new chapter in her life, as she tied the knot with groom Syed Rifat Naweed Hossain.
Naweed, a native of Sylhet who pursued his studies abroad, currently holds a directorial position at a multinational software company.
Their journey to matrimony commenced with a vibrant Gaaye Holud (pre-wedding tradition) and music ceremony on February 13, hosted on the picturesque shores of Cox's Bazar beach. The wedding itself took place the following day at Inani Beach, ensuring the presence of loved ones from both sides.
Reflecting on her decision, Sporshia remarked, “My mother held Naweed in high regard, and I've always vowed to honor her choices. Additionally, I found Naweed to resonate with me on a deeper level, sharing qualities that complemented mine. Our families' mutual consent underscores the foundation of our union.”
Sporshia noted that their identities are intertwined by the bonds of marriage rather than superficial appearances.
Speaking of the serendipitous turn of events, Sporshia revealed, “A mutual friend inadvertently played matchmaker, commencing discussions that eventually blossomed into love and commitment.”
Regarding the choice of a beachside wedding, Sporshia expressed, “The sea and mountains hold a special place in my heart, and I've long dreamed of exchanging vows in a setting that embodies both. I'm grateful that my in-laws shared and supported my vision.”
The festivities culminated with the wedding ceremony on February 14, marking a celebration filled with love, harmony, and cherished memories.
