National Film Award-winning singer Ankhi Alamgir has been captivating audiences not only with her singing but also with her acting since childhood.
During her early years, she was recognised with the National Film Award for her portrayal as a child artiste in Amzad Hossain's 'Bhat De'. Later in her career, she received the National Film Award as a singer for her contribution to the movie 'Ekti Cinemar Golpo', directed by her father, the renowned hero-producer-director Alamgir, who recently received the Ekushey Padak.
Her remarkable journey in the music industry began with her passion for music, solidifying her status as a beloved singer among Bengali-speaking audiences worldwide. This versatile artiste, celebrated for her stage performances, has also delved into modelling, featuring in various advertisements.
Notable among these advertisements are 'AMPM Toothpaste', 'Tibet Pumpkin Hair Oil', and 'Suresh Mustard Oil'. Her most recent modelling appearance was in an OVC alongside Alamgir and Runa Laila.
On February 23, Ankhi Alamgir starred in another advertisement shoot in Cox's Bazar. She was featured in an advertisement for an upscale residential hotel, coinciding with Ramadan, under the direction of Anonno Mamun. The entire crew believes that Ankhi Alamgir's presence in this advertisement will fascinate the audience.
Reflecting on her experience, Ankhi Alamgir said, “I've previously worked in advertisements under Anonno Mamun's direction. This marks my second collaboration with him. Mamun's direction is meticulously organised and closely aligns with my vision. The ambiance of the hotel is truly exceptional, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Once the advertisement airs, I believe everyone will feel its allure."
Meanwhile, Ankhi Alamgir continues to enchant audiences with her performances in various stage shows this month. She is scheduled to perform in three different shows in Dhaka on February 27, 28, and 29.
Ankhi Alamgir's latest hit songs include 'Tiptip Brishti', 'Piya Giyeche Dubai', 'Rajkumari', 'Kothay Rekhecho Amay', and 'Laila'.
