National Film Award and Ekushey Padak-winning actor, director, and writer Abul Hayat has directed a drama titled 'Shila Brishtir Sharbat,' set to air on Channel i. Popular actor Shahed Sharif Khan and National Film Award-winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo have taken on the lead roles in this drama.

The shooting for the drama has been completed at the Nokkhottrobari Resort near the capital.

Based on a story by the late writer Rabeya Khatun, Abul Hayat has adapted and directed the drama.

Alongside Shahed and Mamo, the drama also features Chitralekha Guha, Abdul Bari, Shelly Ahsan, and several other actors.

Abul Hayat shared, “My dramas often revolve around special occasions, and most of them are made for Channel i. As usual, this year's drama is based on a story by Rabeya Khatun Apa. The story is quite unique, and I was drawn to it, so I adapted it in my own way. Everyone involved in the project gave their best.”

“Shahed and Mamo have both delivered excellent performances in their respective lead roles. Shahed is already a gifted actor, and he always approaches my projects with utmost dedication. He also supports me in various ways. Mamo is a talented actress who immerses herself fully into her characters. She did the same for this drama. I hope the audience will appreciate their performances,” he added.

Abul Hayat mentioned that his wife, Shirin Hayat, was also present during the shooting. Shahed is married to Abul Hayat's younger daughter, Natasha Hayat.

Meanwhile, Mamo's recent film 'Ora 7 Jon,' directed by Khijir Hayat Khan, is now available on an OTT platform. According to the audience, Mamo has delivered an outstanding performance in this movie.

Mamo made her acting debut in the movie 'Daruchini Dwip,' directed by Tauquir Ahmed, for which she won her first National Film Award for Best Actress.
