IFIC Bank PLC in association with Channel I organised an art competition titled 'Rang Tulite Muktijuddho' on March 7 instead of March 26 marking the occasion of the Independence Day.
The organisers held the competition in advance this time at Tejgaon Channel I premises due to the holy month of Ramadan. The programme lasted from 11:05am to 2:00pm and was anchored by veteran film star Afzal Hossain.
In addition to painting, noted Rabindra song exponent Rezwana Choudhury Bannya and different artists performed patriotic songs on the main stage. In between the events, there were recollections of memories of the liberation war through the voices of the heroic freedom fighters and interviews with prominent people.
More than 50 elite senior and young painters across the country, as well as children, participated in the painting ceremony. The associate gallery for this arrangement was Chitrak. The programme was produced by Amirul Islam, Shahidul Alam Sachchu and Mostafizur Rahman Nantu.
