'Tomari Ami', a drama scripted by Shefat Hossain and directed by Mir Arman Hossain, is set to be released today. The drama will premiere on the YouTube channel of Payra Entertainment.
The drama features Arfan Anik, Alongkar Chowdhury, Anwar Shahi, Swampa Nizam, Sashi Afroza, and Tazul Maruf among others, portraying different characters. Sheikh Sujon serves as the cinematographer for the production.
On March 11, the poster for the drama was unveiled, followed by the release of the final promo and trailer on March 12.
In the story of the drama, Anima sits sadly in her room while her father occupies the drawing room watching TV. Anima's mother sits beside her father, discussing Anima. Anima harbours feelings for Abir, who has completed his studies and now manages his father's business. However, Anima's father opposes her marriage to Abir, citing her young age as his argument. Meanwhile, Abir's parents are preparing for Hajj and wish for Abir to marry before their departure.
As tensions rise, Anima ceases eating at home. Her absence at the dinner table prompts her father to confront her, leading to heated arguments where Anima expresses her determination to marry Abir, even if it means eloping.
Following nightly conflicts, Anima's father eventually implores her to bring Abir home.
The next day, Anima and Abir arrange to meet in the afternoon. Anima waits at the designated location, adorned in a blue saree, but Abir fails to arrive. Suddenly, Anima receives a frantic call on her phone. She rushes to the hospital upon learning of Abir's bike accident.
From this pivotal moment, the story of the drama unfolds.
