Kona has her hands full with various projects

National Film Award-winning singer Dilshad Nahar Kona last performed at a stage show on March 10 in the Purabachal area of the capital. With the start of the month of Ramadan, stage shows are closed all over the country. After Eid, artists will get busy again with stage shows.

However, even without stage shows, Kona has her hands full with various projects. She doesn't just have to be busy with stage shows all year round. She has to be extremely busy with singing new original songs, lending her voice to jingles (songs used in advertisements), providing voice overs (dialogues used in ads), and dubbing (lending voice to artists) for advertisements.

Last Monday was one such extremely busy day when she had to provide voice overs for two advertisements, dubbing for two advertisements, and a jingle and voice over for another advertisement. She did voice overs for two RFL Fresco Container ads, dubbed for Pran Fruto and Pran Up's two different ads featuring Puja Cherry and Nusraat Faria, and sang a jingle in Bangla and provided a voice over for the Bangladesh version of the 'Glow and Lovely' advertisement.

Despite her tremendous workload that day, she didn't get tired. After completing these tasks, she rushed to Dhanmondi in the capital at night to visit her younger sister and spend time with her. Kona ensures she maintains a balance between her work and social life.

At the moment, Kona is one of the few in the music industry who is extremely busy with jingles, voice overs, and dubbing. At one time, the renowned musician Sumana Haque was called the queen of jingles in Bangladesh. Now Kona occupies that position.

Kona said “My main identity is that I am a musician. Besides, since I really enjoy doing jingles, voice overs, and dubbing, I really enjoyed the work despite the tremendous workload last Monday. However, the feeling is different when I stand in front of the microphone to lend my voice for songs. Nothing else can be compared to that.”

Kona informed that she has already done playback singing for another movie. Along with this, discussions are also ongoing about stage shows after Eid.
