Seasoned Bangladeshi actress Mousumi, who travelled to the United States (US) last October has been feeling nostalgic about her homeland and a special person from her childhood – her beloved home tutor, Anna.

The Priyadarshini-famed actress is staying with her mother and daughter in the US. While finding solace in her mother's embrace, which she describes as ‘the safest place in the world,’ Mousumi constantly thinks about Anna, who taught her during her school days at Wills Little Flower School in Dhaka. Despite losing contact with Anna over the years, the actress fondly recalls the immense love and affection her tutor showered upon her.

“I was a big truant in studies. But Anna ma'am taught me very carefully. She loved me immensely, adored me. I miss that affection and love of hers a lot,” Mousumi shared emotionally. “I wish I could touch her from very close. I feel if I could meet her, I would get back my lost childhood. Sometimes I feel if she were alive, I would surely meet her. If we met, maybe I could hug her and cry a lot.”

Although uncertain if she'll ever reunite with Anna in this life, Mousumi hopes her former tutor is well wherever she may be. “I don't know if I'll ever meet Anna ma'am again in this life. But I pray that wherever Anna ma'am is, she stays well.”

Mousumi's profound longing for her childhood mentor reflects her magnanimous spirit, which has also endeared her to audiences throughout her successful acting career. Her last release was the film 'Sonar Chor' directed by Zahid Hossain last Eid.

During her US visit, Mousumi recently attended the 'Suchitra Sen Film Festival,' where she reunited with dear friends actor-MP Ferdous Ahmed and popular Kolkata actress Rituparna.

While enjoying her time abroad with family, Mousumi's heart remains tied to her roots and cherished memories from her formative years in Bangladesh.
