The Eid-ul-Azha release of ‘Revenge,’ starring popular actress Shobnom Bubly, coincided with Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan's ‘Toofan’.

However, ‘Revenge’ director Mohammad Iqbal alleged that Bubly was not actively promoting the film, possibly due to the simultaneous release of Shakib Khan's movie. Bubly countered this claim, saying she had promoted ‘Revenge’ in various television and online interviews.

Addressing the controversy, Bubly said, “Shakib Khan is the father of my child, which takes precedence over all other relationships. I'll avoid anyone who disrespects him. When I noticed director Mohammad Iqbal making objectionable comments about Shakib Khan, I started avoiding him. He then began making inappropriate remarks about me as well. I completed 'Revenge' and 'Betray' professionally, as shooting had begun before these issues arose."

Iqbal has since removed Bubly from his upcoming film ‘Betray.’ Regarding this, Bubly explained, “I signed for 'Betray' about four years ago, around the same time as 'Revenge,' when the situation was different. Mohammad Iqbal initially treated me respectfully, like a younger sister. But later, he started making various comments about me and my other films, seemingly unconcerned about how it might affect audience perception of his work.”

In ‘Revenge,’ Bubly starred opposite Ziaul Roshan. However, the film failed to captivate audiences and was pulled from Star Cineplex just four days after its release.
