The story of the 1971 Liberation War is now finding a place in an Indian web series, featuring Bangladeshi actor Arifin Shuvoo. Opposite him, Kolkata actress Sauraseni Maitra's name is being heard.

Sometime after the release of ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation," a biopic on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Shuvoo is taking a new project.

An Indian media outlet reports that the new series featuring Arifin and Sauraseni is being directed by Soumik Sen, the maker of the ‘Jubilee’ series. It is being produced by Arpita Chatterjee, and the shooting of the series will start soon.

However, before the official announcement, director Soumik Sen is not willing to talk in detail about the series. Additionally, Shuvoo and Sauraseni have said that everything will come to light when the time is right.

Previously, Shuvoo has worked in two Indian web series. He will be seen in Arindam Sil's web film ‘19 April’ and Rahul Mukherjee's series ‘Lahu.’

The story of ‘19 April’ is based on a true event from the 1970s. It depicts how a housewife from an elite family in the city suddenly dies, and the mystery gradually builds around her death. Besides Shuvoo, Ankita Chakraborty, Sauraseni Maitra, Indrasish Roy, and many others have acted in it.

On the other hand, the ‘Lahu’ series is set in a hilly region. Here, Sohini Sarkar stars opposite Shuvoo. Also featured are Rajanandini Pal, Soumya Mukherjee, Shyamal Chakraborty, Anujoy Chattopadhyay, and many others.

Apart from these, Shuvoo's ‘Nilchakra,’ directed by Mithu Khan, is awaiting release in the country. Additionally, Shuvoo is coming to the big screen in the future with Raihan Rafi's film ‘Noor.’
