Popular West Bengal actress Rituparna Sengupta is set to appear in another Bangladeshi film. Known for capturing the hearts of Bangladeshi audiences with her role in the 1990s film 'Swami Keno Asami', Rituparna has already acted in nearly two dozen Bangladeshi films. Most recently, she was seen in Ananya Mamun's film 'Sparsho', which is awaiting release.

Director Rashid Polash has announced Rituparna's involvement in his upcoming new film 'Tori'. In this film, Rituparna will be seen playing the role of a junior artiste. Rashid Polash has confirmed that the actress will come to Dhaka in September to participate in the shooting. The first lot of shooting for the film has already been completed, and preparations for the final lot are underway.

Although Rashid Polash initially wanted to keep Rituparna's involvement a secret, the news spread from the production team, leading him to confirm it. He said, “I didn't want to reveal Ritu's involvement now, but there are more surprises in the film that I want to keep secret for now.”

The story of the film is by Ahadur Rahman, and the screenplay and dialogues are written by Golam Rabbani. The film, produced under the banner of Punnya Films, is planned to be completed and released within this year.

Rashid Polash's previous film, 'Moyurakkhi', released last Eid, was screened for two weeks at Dhaka's multiplexes and is currently being shown at a theatre in Bhola. Regarding the new film 'Tori', Rashid Polash mentioned, “I have talked with Rituparna, and she has agreed to work in our film. We will finalize the formalities soon.”

Despite the verbal agreement with Rituparna and the commencement of the film's shooting, Rashid Polash is not yet ready to disclose the names and details of other characters in the film.
