The highly anticipated film 'Dorod,' starring megastar Shakib Khan and Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan, has announced its release date. The movie is scheduled for a global release on September 6, hitting theatres in Bangladesh, India, the Middle East, United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, and other countries worldwide.
Directed by Anonno Mamun, 'Dorod' is a Pan-Indian production that will be released in multiple languages including Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The film's promotional content release, originally planned for Monday (July 15), was postponed due to the current situation in the country.
A teaser for the psycho-thriller was previously released on Eid ul-Azha, showcasing intense romance between Shakib Khan and Sonal Chauhan, along with gripping suspense. Viewers have praised the teaser, predicting that 'Dorod' will be a commercial hit with its compelling storyline and full package of entertainment.
The film also features Payal Sarkar, Biswajit Chakraborty, Rajesh Sharma, Rahul Dev, Alok Jain, Elina Shammi, and Safa Marwa, among others.
Director Anannya Mamun said that the official promotion for 'Dorod' will begin with the announcement of the September 6 release date. He also mentioned plans for grand promotional events involving Shakib Khan's fans in the coming days.
Mamun expressed confidence in the film's success, saying, “I said we would make a hit with 'Dorod' outside of Eid, and I still maintain that. On the day of its release, there will be a festive atmosphere in the cinema halls.”
