A new drama serial titled 'Neel Ghurni', directed by Syed Shakil and starring Ziaul Faruq Apurba, one of Bangladesh's most popular TV actors, and National Film Award-winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo, is set to air on RTV soon.
The drama is written by Shafiqur Rahman Shantanu. Apurba and Momo play the two lead roles in the drama.
Regarding his performance in the drama, Apurba said, “I acted in this drama about five years ago. At that time, Mamo and I had acted in many single-episode dramas. Our performances were well-received by the audience. You could say 'Neel Ghurni' is the last drama serial I acted in. The story is very interesting. I acted in this drama because of the story.
After this, I didn't act in any other drama serials. I was busy working on single-episode dramas. And now I'm busy with OTT platform work. Shakil bhai is a very talented filmmaker. He's a very experienced director. After this series, I've worked on several other good stories under Shakil bhai's direction. Those were also popular with the audience. I hope the audience will like the 'Neel Ghurni' as well.”
Director Syed Shakil said, “I hope this drama serial I've produced will start airing on RTV next month. Apurba, Mamo, and everyone else who acted in it were very careful with their respective roles. I believe the audience will enjoy the drama serial.”
Previously, under Syed Shakil's direction, Apurba had acted in the drama serials 'Samrat', 'Sonar Shikol', and 'Off the Record'. Mamo had also acted in the drama serial ‘Off the Record' under his direction.
