Shironamhin, one of the most popular bands in the country, has released a song for a new Bangladesh. The song titled 'Keno' (Why) was released on Shironamhin's Facebook page on Tuesday night. This 2-minute 51-second song has already touched the hearts of fans.
The first four lines of the song, with lyrics by Ziaur Rahman and music by Kazi Ahmed Shafin, are: ‘Aj Ei Shohorer Pakhira Sara Rat Ajothai Andher Mato Urche Keno? Kora Roude Poore Chhai Hoye Akasher Gaye Lal Surjata Tabu Jolche Keno?” (Why are the birds of this city flying aimlessly like blind ones all night today? Why is the red sun still burning on the sky's surface, turning to ash in the harsh sunlight?"
Shironamhin has announced that the song is available on Apple Music, Jio Saavn, Gaana, Amazon Music, Spotify, and YouTube.
Notably, Shironamhin has been expressing solidarity with the students since the beginning of the movement demanding quota reform. The artistes have shown their unity with the movement by being physically present.
