Syed Nazmus Sakib, an English teacher at Birshreshtha Noor Mohammad Public College in Pilkhana, has been making waves in both education and entertainment sectors. With over two decades of teaching experience, Sakib is known for his dedication to shaping young minds and his recent forays into acting.

After completing his studies in English Literature from Jahangirnagar University, Sakib chose teaching as his primary profession out of passion. He is highly popular among students for his commitment to not only imparting knowledge but also guiding them to become better individuals.

Parallel to his teaching career, Sakib has been building a name for himself in the acting world. He made his debut in a small role in the drama ‘Deyal’ directed by Vicky Zahed. Since then, he has appeared in several productions including films like ‘Mission Extreme’ and ‘Damal’, and OTT releases such as ‘Buker Moddhye Agun’, ‘Golam Mamun’, and most recently, ‘Troll’.

Sakib received particular praise for his portrayal of Mahmud Milon in ‘Golam Mamun’ and his performance alongside Mehazabien in the drama ‘Chirokal Aaj’. He is currently anticipating the release of ‘Ek Minute’, a drama directed by Sohail Rahman and Hadi, where he plays a challenging and significant role.

When asked about balancing teaching and acting, Sakib expressed pride in his teaching profession and emphasised that he carefully selects acting roles that he feels comfortable sharing with his students. He said, “I only want to do work that my students can watch. I will continue this approach in the future, God willing.”

Born on January 24 in Brahmanbaria, Sakib is the son of the late Syed Mostafa Kamal and Rajia Sultana.
