Actor Masum Parvej Rubel, a familiar name in Bangla cinema and 11 others were injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Barishal highway on Saturday (16 November).
The accident occurred when a passenger bus--Global Paribahan--hit the microbus at around 11 am near Samaddar bridge under Rajoir upazila on the highway. After the accident, they were taken to Madaripur Sadar Hospital where they received treatment.
Sub-Inspector Mizanur Rahman of Mostofapur Highway police said actor Masum Parvej Rubel, 60, a popular name in Bangla cinema in 1990s, was going to Amtoli upazila in Barguna district by the microbus along with eight others.
