Audience-admired singer Dilshad Nahar Kona has announced the release of five new songs for the upcoming Eid. Two of the songs have been made for the films Jin' and 'Paap', while the other three are modern tracks, according to the National Film Award-winning artiste.
Kona's two duet songs for the films are written by Abdul Aziz and composed by Emon Saha. Young popular singer-musician Imran Mahmudul has joined Kona in these duets.
Meanwhile, the three modern songs feature lyrics from Jamal Hossain, Shomeshwar Oli, and Asif Altaf. The songs have been composed by Punam, Akash Mahmud, and Asif Altaf, respectively. Music video production for the three tracks is currently underway, with Saikat Reza handling direction duties.
Kona expressed her excitement about the upcoming releases, saying, "The two songs for 'Jin' and 'Paap' are completely different from each other, and I think the audience will enjoy their unique charm. The lyrics and tunes for all three modern songs are excellent, and the composers have done a great job. I've tried my best to deliver the songs perfectly, and I hope they will be well-received."
Kona was awarded the National Film Award for the first time for her playback in the film ‘Bishwo Shundori', directed by Chayanika Chowdhury. The song's lyrics were written by Kabir Bakul, and the music was composed by Imran.
Three new modern songs by Kona will be released on three different YouTube channels during Eid-ul-Fitr.
