‘Priyotoma’, the latest movie of Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan opposite Indian actress Idhika Paul, has been openly labeled as a commercially successful venture after earning more than TK 10 crore in its first seven days of release.
Consequently, the movie directed by Bangladeshi filmmaker Himel Ashraf has become an ultimate big screen debut for Idhika, who is a very popular face in Kolkata's TV serials.
No one, including Idhika herself, thought that her debut movie would witness such massive success, making it a lifetime achievement for her. In addition to being impressed by Shakib Khan's performance, viewers are also fascinated by Idhika’s performance.
Idhika Paul said, “Honestly, I never imagined that ‘Priyotoma’ would receive such a tremendous response. The unconditional love from the audience, which I have received since the movie's release on Eid day, has amazed me. ‘Priyotoma’ is my debut film, and I never imagined that my luck would be this good as a debutant.”
“I am truly emotional about the love from the audience in Bangladesh. I will cherish this love and respect for the rest of my life. Of course, I am grateful to Shakib Khan, producer Arshad Adnan, director Himel Ashraf, and the entire ‘Priyotoma’ team,” she added.
Kolkata's audience is also eagerly awaiting the movie's release with great interest. It will be a delight to see the release of ‘Priyotoma’ in Kolkata.
Idhika also mentioned that she will come to Dhaka soon to enjoy the movie with the audience.
