The latest film of Shakib Khan, ‘Priyotoma’, has earned $84,000 US dollars in its first week of release in North America, becoming the second Bangladeshi film to reach this milestone.
The Dhallywood superstar expressed his gratitude to his fans on his Facebook page and posted, "Swapna Scarecrow, the distributor of #priyotoma in the USA & Canada, announced that our film 'Priyotoma' has made $84K in the 1st week."
"I am grateful to the Bangladeshis who live there and support our Bangla film industry with such passion," Shakib wrote.
'Priyotoma' was released in over 100 theaters across Bangladesh. The film also premiered in the United States, Canada, Australia, the Middle East, Sweden, Malaysia, and England, according to director Himel Ashraf.
The film features Kolkata's Idhika Paul alongside Shakib Khan.
