Two popular Bangladeshi bands, Aftermath and Meghdol, will perform as the headliners at the Moitree Concert. The fifth season of the concert will be held at Rabindra Bhavan in Kolkata on July 22 and 23.

Besides, AK Rahul from Bangladesh will also perform in the same concert, along with Indian bands namely Kalpurush, Missing Link, Blood and Fire in the Rodeo, among others.

Faheem Hossain, the founder and guitarist of Aftermath, said, "We are very proud to be able to represent Bangladesh in such an international event. We hope that we will be able to bring glory to our country's name."

Navid Iftekhar Chowdhury, the vocalist of Aftermath, said, "The participation of three bands from Bangladesh in the biggest Bangla rock event, featuring artistes from both countries, is a great honour. We were supposed to participate in this event last year as well, but due to visa complications, we could not make it. We are grateful to the Gennext Group and the Kolkata audience for inviting us to perform again this year."

Moitree Concert is a large-scale Bangla rock music event organised for the two countries. It has been one of the biggest music festivals organised in Kolkata for several years. Rock music has been strongly performed and loved for decades in both Bangladesh and West Bengal. Moitree Concert has, therefore, become a platform of unity for rock music lovers from the two Bengals.

The journey of the rock band Aftermath began in 2007. In its 16-year run, Aftermath has received many awards, including Radio ABC Best Campus Band and BBMFC Best Album 2021. Their album 'Jed' gained huge popularity among their listeners soon after its release in 2021. Tracks like ‘Moho’, ‘Dhoa’, ‘Matir Roud’, and ‘Utshorgo’ from the album have become very popular among the new generation of listeners.

Aftermath's YouTube channel has nearly 1.5 million views and 122,000 subscribers. The band has recently earned the YouTube Silver Button, which comes as an expression of love from the audiences of the two Bengals. Their presence and recognition have been seen in various media, including Bangladesh Television, and the band regularly performs in different parts of Bangladesh as well.
