Kamruzzaman Ronnie has made his debut as a playback singer in a movie titled ‘1971 Shei Shob Din’ directed by Hridi Haq. He lent his voice to a song titled ‘Jachchho Kothay,’ written by Hridi Haq and composed by Debojyoty Mishra, which was released on YouTube on July 20.
As soon as the song was released on YouTube, it became popular, and music lovers were enthralled by it. Ronnie informed that he has also lent his voice to another song in this movie titled ‘Keu Ki Vebechilo,’ but it is yet to be released on YouTube.
Regarding his maiden playback experience, Ronnie said, ‘’I did not think that I would receive such a tremendous response for the first movie song of my life. But I am truly joyous. I am thankful to Hridi Haq and Debojyoty Mishra. Music is my passion, but editing is my profession. Besides, I also love to act in stage plays very much. I aim to explore myself further in the future through these three mediums.’’
Ronnie completed a four-year certificate course in Nazrul Sangeet from BAFA, followed by two more years in Nazrul Sangeet at Chhayanaut. In 2003, he joined the theatre troupe Nagorik Nattyangan. He mainly works on background music for the theatre.
