Reuniting after a long hiatus, veteran actors Afzal Hossain and Dolly Zohur have collaborated in a special tele-drama titled 'Abar Ashibo Phire,' directed by Animesh Aich.
In the late eighties, the duo was previously seen together in a popular tele-drama titled 'Sukher Upoma,' directed by the late Atiqul Haque Chowdhury, which aired on BTV. During that time, their impeccable performances left a lasting impression on the audience.
Dolly Zahur shared her thoughts about acting in the drama, saying, “It’s a symbolic tele-drama with an amazing plot. As usual, Animesh has crafted a compelling story this time as well. He has also diligently completed the shooting during this monsoon season.”
“It's been a while since I collaborated with Afzal on a project, the last time being the popular tele-drama titled 'Sukher Upoma.' Afzal and I shared great chemistry in that drama. Many memories were rekindled while working on this project. In this tele-drama, Afzal has taken on the role of a teacher, while I portray his wife. Overall, the work has been executed exceptionally well. I hope the audience will appreciate it,” added the actress.
Afzal Hossain expressed his feelings, “First and foremost, the story of this tele-drama is truly remarkable. Despite facing natural calamities, efforts have been dedicated to executing the project flawlessly. Working together again with Dolly Zohur brings back memories from our collaboration in the late eighties. It's natural to reminisce after reuniting for such a prolonged period. The memories of Atiqul Haque Chowdhury were also evoked.”
The tele-drama 'Abar Ashibo Phire' is scheduled to air on BTV on August 15.
