National Film Award-winning artist Monir Khan is on the brink of releasing his latest song titled ‘DhuDhu Baluchor’. The song, with lyrics penned by Hafizur Rahman and composed by Milton Khondokar, is set to launch on YouTube soon.
Monir Khan, a celebrated singer, has been experiencing a whirlwind of triumphs with his recent song releases. These include ‘Ek Jamuna Valobasha’, written by Rafiqul Aziz and composed by Aminul Islam, as well as ‘Laily Bolo Ar Mojnu Bolo’, with lyrics by Moniruzzaman Monir and composed by Milton Khondokar.
In a candid conversation with the media, Monir Khan expressed his profound gratitude towards the late legendary musician and freedom fighter Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul. He attributed his success to the groundbreaking song titled ‘Premer Taj Mahal’, a composition that touched the hearts of millions.
Monir elaborated, “Without a doubt, ‘Premer Taj Mahal’ has been the pivotal force that reshaped my life's trajectory. My journey as a playback singer found its genesis in this very song. I remain eternally indebted to Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul. It was through this song that I secured my inaugural National Film Award, a testament to Bulbul’s unparalleled influence on my career.
Admittedly, when news of my award first reached me, I struggled to fathom the reality of the situation. To put it frankly, this song marked a transformative juncture in my life. It has become an unwavering tradition for me to include this song in every performance, regardless of the venue or occasion. I proudly consider it my signature piece.”
