Much-admired director Raihan Rafi is all set to embark on a new cinematic journey with his upcoming film titled 'Omimangshito,' featuring Imtiaz Barshon and Tanzika Amin in pivotal roles. While the details surrounding the movie's plot have been shrouded in secrecy, there's speculation that it may revolve around the tragic and unsolved murder case of Bangladeshi journalists Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi.
Associates of the film's production team have remained tight-lipped about the storyline, as they are currently under restrictions from disclosing any information. However, they assure that when the time is right, the narrative will be revealed to the eager audience.
It is worth recalling the horrifying incident in which the journalist couple, Sagar Sarowar, a news editor at the private TV channel Maasranga, and his wife Meherun Runi, a senior reporter of ATN Bangla, were brutally murdered in their West Rajabazar residence in the capital on February 11, 2012.
